A friend of mine gave me an XBOX to fix. It got dropped, with predictable consequences on the hard disk drive inside. Here's the thing... it's a stock unit, no mod chip, so it will not boot unsigned code. I managed to locate a nifty howto on building an EEPROM reader and a really nice bit of Windows freeware.
