The US military routinely remotely controlled planes - robot planes (or UAVs - Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) over Iraq and Afghanistan. Now BAE, the manufacturer of Herti (High Endurance Rapid Technology Insertion) wants to target the commercial market. Herti can fly for up 25 hours at a stretch, and has a range of more than 1,000 kilometers.
