MXM doesn't mean that you can upgrade the iMac's 3D chip on your own the way you might on a desktop. For one, Apple doesn't provide access to the slot. Even if you did hack past that limitation, you'd be hard-pressed to find an MXM chip, because none are on-sale to retail buyers. Maybe some OEM will try, but Apple doesn't support it.
